Vanessa Hudgens shared a still from the highly anticipated movie “Bad Boys for Life” online recently. The details about the character she is playing in the movie are currently being kept under wraps, but the picture she shared online gives the fans an idea about her role.

Hudgens shared a still from her upcoming movie on Instagram. The picture shows her and a fellow cast member standing next to Will Smith, who is reprising the lead role of Detective Mike Lowrey.

The still from the movie shows the team investigating a crime scene. Hudgens appears to be playing a cop, and the photo also confirms that Mike is still a cop after all these years.

“Well this is a dope pic lol,” Hudgens wrote in her post. The picture shows the actress looking at Smith, while he looks grim.

“Bad Boys for Life” is the third installment of the popular franchise. The first movie was made in 1995 and the sequel was released in 2003, making the wait for the upcoming film to be 17 years long.

Smith will be joined by his onscreen partner Martin Lawrence, who is reprising his role as Marcus. Sony Pictures recently shared a behind-the-scenes video of the two actors talking about their love for the franchise and how the fans still remember these characters even after so many years.

Along with some teaser scenes from the movie, the video shows Smith pointing out how long it has been since they made the first film from this franchise. Lawrence joked about being a lot heavier now when compared to how he was when the first movie came out.

“Bad Boys for Life” will be released on Jan. 17. The film has been directed by Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah. According to Screen Rant, the reason why Michael Bay didn’t return may be because he is busy with some of his other projects.
