After nearly 14 years of dating Johnny Depp, Vanessa Paradis never received a wedding ring, but the French model and actress is reportedly not bitter over his recent engagement to his girlfriend of one year, actress Amber Heard.

According to a report from Us Weekly, the 41-year-old mother of Depp’s two children (Lily-Rose, 14, and Jack, 11) is anything but upset over news that he is set to wed the 27-year-old film star. “She’s not bitter. She’s happy,” a friend of the model revealed to the magazine. Reportedly, Paradis even reached out to her former lover following news of his recent engagement. “Vanessa wished him happiness,” revealed the source, adding confirmation that there is reportedly “no drama” between Depp’s former and current leading lady.

So why is Paradis so cool, calm and collected about the whole ordeal? According to the gossip mag, it’s because she has also moved on to 41-year-old French pop singer, Benjamin Biolay.

Paradis and Depp ended their 14-year relationship in June 2012. Almost a year after their split, Depp opened up to Rolling Stone, saying that their romance fizzled after a few “bumpy years,” but that the duo ended their relationship with maturity for the sake of their children. "In terms of the breakup, I definitely wasn't going to rely on the drink to ease things or cushion the blow or cushion the situation,” said Depp, who claimed he will always have love for his children’s mother. “You'll always know each other, and you're always gonna be in each other's lives because of those kids. You might as well make the best of it,” he said.

Depp began dating actress Amber Heard in 2012, following their on-screen love affair in the comedy/drama “The Rum Diary.” The duo, who originally kept their romance private, have only recently opened up about their relationship of 12 months. The actors made their first public appearance together at the Art of Elysium's seventh annual Heaven Gala in L.A. on Jan. 11. Two days later, Heard was photographed wearing a diamond ring on her engagement finger while out and about in Los Angeles. Following engagement rumors, a source revealed to People magazine on Saturday that the couple is prepping to tie the knot. “Of course they couldn’t be happier to be engaged,” said the insider, adding, “[They’re] excited to share the rest of their lives together.”
