A father and son were arrested in New Jersey after a video emerged of the two crashing their cars while drag racing earlier in the year.

Fred Ordine, 44, and his son Chadwick Quinones, 25, of Hewitt, New Jersey, were arrested by the Port Authority Police Department for the alleged incident. The pair was arrested Tuesday after a video was discovered on Quinones' Instagram page showing the original accident. Both are facing charges of leaving the scene of an accident, failure to exhibit registration, illegal speed contest, reckless driving and careless driving.

The father and son will be prosecuted by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office in New York City.

According to police, the pair had allegedly been drag racing in New York City’s Lincoln Tunnel on Feb. 9 when the accident occurred. The men were reportedly driving Chevrolet Corvettes in the tunnel’s north tube when one of the cars suddenly spun out and caused a multi-car accident.

No major injuries were reported, but the pair did receive a summons later for fleeing the scene and reckless driving.

Police re-opened their investigation after discovering Quinones had posted the dashcam video showing how the accident occurred. He took it down after being approached by officers about the video but it quickly spread online and remained up due to people re-posting it.

“We are committed to tracking down people who commit this type of reckless behavior and prosecuting them,” Port Authority Police Chief Detective Matthew Wilson told reporters. “In doing so, we hope to deter others from doing the same.”
