The Golden State Warriors will take a 2-0 lead when they travel to Houston for Game 3 in the Western Conference semifinals against the Rockets. The reigning back-to-back champions won 115-109 Tuesday night, with Kevin Durant again the top-scorer for the Warriors.

The game, however, was not without incident after Stephen Curry dislocated his finger in the first quarter, but luckily for the Warriors, it was not serious. After an X-ray came back negative, the three-time NBA champion was back on the court for the remainder of the encounter.

Curry returned and played 33 minutes, scoring 20 points, while Klay Thompson managed 21 points in 41 minutes on the court. But it was Durant that led the way for the Warriors, with 29 points and five rebounds, making it the first game in his last six appearances when he did not manage to score at least 30.

The game was one of close margins, with the Warriors outscoring the Rockets only in the first quarter, in which they finished 29-20. The second quarter saw them score 29 apiece, and after half time, the winners were outscored by just three points combined.

Thompson believes the quality of the shooters the Rockets have will always ensure the games between the two teams will remain close through all four quarters. But he credited Andre Iguodala and Durant for their defensive games Tuesday night, as they managed to keep James Harden under 30 points.

The Warriors were not the only team to sustain an injury to a key player, as Harden also went off the court midway through the first quarter after being hit in the eye by Draymond Green. He remained on the floor for a number of seconds before being walked off-court and Mike D'Antoni later confirmed the point guard was bleeding from the eye.

The Rockets point guard returned in the second quarter and went on to score 29 points, but seemed to have a problem with the lights owing to the eye injury. However, Harden and company will have their task cut out and will hope they can make their home advantage count to level the series after having lost both the games on the road.
