The carpet might be red … but the stars are wearing green! Your favorite A-listers are arriving at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood for the 88th Academy Awards, and there already appears to be a fashion trend. Stars like “Game of Thrones” actress Sophie Turner and “Snow White and the Huntsman” actress Lily Cole are wearing green for the Red Carpet Green Dress campaign.

Suzy Amis Cameron, environmental activist and wife of director James Cameron, launched the campaign seven years ago during a press tour for “Avatar.” According to the organization’s website, the goal was to “draw attention to the importance of more sustainable practices in fashion.” Celebrities supporting the campaign want to show their fans at home that their dresses can not only be beautiful, but good for the environment as well.
