“Sex and the City” is officially getting a revival on HBO Max and fans will once again be able to see their favorite friend group, but this time, without Kim Cattrall, AKA Samantha Jones.

The series will be titled “And Just Like That...” and it’ll follow Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda Hobbes (Cynthia Nixon), and Charlotte York (Kristin Davis) as they navigate life and friendship in their 50s. The season will consist of 10, 30-minute episodes.

While Cattrall has been omitted from the upcoming series, the actress does appear to be busy elsewhere. When looking through her Instagram, it seems as though Cattrall has recently been spending time with her loved ones in the great outdoors.

When it comes to her career, since the last “Sex and the City” movie in 2010, she appeared on several shows, including the most recent “Filthy Rich,” “Any Human Heart,” “Sensitive Skin,” “The Witness for the Prosecution,” “Modus,” and “Tell Me A Story.” She's also been featured in the films “Comic Relief: Uptown Downstairs Abbey” and “Horrible Histories: The Movie - Rotten Romans.”

While there hasn’t been one specific reason why Cattrall isn't returning to the revival, there are a few speculations as to her reasoning.

Cattrall was a guest on Piers Morgan’s show on ITV in 2017 where she confirmed issues she had experienced with the rest of the “Sex and the City” cast members, as well as explained her non-existent relationship with them, according to BBC.

"We've never been friends. We've been colleagues and in some ways it's a very healthy place to be because then you have a clear line between your professional life and relationship and your personal,” she stated at the time.

The 64-year-old blatantly shared that she had no interest or intention of being in another movie, or in this case, a series revival.

Since the revival announcement, her former co-stars have been posting about the "Sex and the City" comeback on social media, but Cattrall hasn’t posted anything online about not returning to the show thus far. Though, that hasn't stopped fans from commenting on her recent posts on Instagram explaining how much they’ll miss seeing her on the show.

“I know you don’t want to hear this but the show won’t be the same without you, you are the best part of the show!!! We miss you so much. Think about it for us, we love the two, you and Samantha Jones!” one user commented.

“Give the fans what they want!! Grab your Birkin and get on the flight from LAX. We love you!” another said.

A release date for “And Just Like That...” has yet to been announced by HBO Max.
