You don’t have to wait until the fall to catch new and returning hit shows. July is filled to the brim with TV premieres for new programs and returning fan favorites this summer.

Following the Fourth of July holiday, FX kicks off the month with the anticipated premiere of its scripted drama “Snowfall.” The program details the 1980 crack epidemic. TNT is also jumping on the scripted bandwagon releasing their drama “Will,” which follows the life of a young William Shakespeare. Fresh off the conclusion of “Pretty Little Liars,” Freeform will be unleashing what hopes to be another drama hit with “The Bold Type,” which shows a group of women navigating the world of magazine journalism.

Those more in favor of reality shows will find a lot of new programs to binge-watch this summer. DIY and home enthusiasts will have their DVRs loaded with new content thanks to the addition of the shows “Rustic Renovation,” “Flip or Flop Atlanta” and “Amazing Space.”

Some reality TV favorites will also make their grand reappearance this month. July 10 will see the return of TLC’s long-standing family docuseries “Kate Plus 8.” In the new episodes, the Gosselin sextuplets will celebrate their 13th birthday. Other popular returning reality programs include “The Real Housewives of Orange County” on Bravo, “OutDaughtered” on TLC, “The Challenge” on MTV, “Impractical Jokers” on TruTV and many more.

Fans of game shows will likely be thrilled by the number of fresh programs airing this summer. Some of the new titles include a real-life incarnation of a popular Facebook game “Candy Crush,” which premieres July 9 on CBS. “SafeWord,” a new celebrity game show on MTV, follows with its premiere on July 13.
