If you’re finding yourself wondering why “Blindspot” isn’t on tonight, despite there still being a few Season 4 episodes left to air, it’s not because it’s been canceled already, it’s because NBC decided to delay the air date of the next episode.

The network chose to pull Season 4, Episode 20, titled “Coder to Killer,” from the schedule for the next few weeks, and “The Blacklist,” which usually airs at 9 p.m. EDT on Fridays, now airs during the “Blindspot” time slot of 8 p.m. EDT. It kicked off its new spot on the NBC lineup last week with two, back-to-back episodes.

“The Blacklist” will continue to air at the earlier time until it wraps Season 6 on May 17 with its big finale episode. The following Friday, May 24, is when the next episode of “Blindspot” will finally air, according to TVLine, and it’ll be during its normal time slot.

When the show does come back on, “A horrifying and vengeful villain threatens the FBI,” according to the synopsis. “Weller [Sullivan Stapleton] considers his priorities. Zapata [Audrey Esparza] and Reade [Rob Brown] try to navigate their living situation. Patterson [Ashley Johnson] explores a budding interest.”

“Blindspot” will then close out its season with the penultimate episode and Season 4 finale airing back-to-back on May 31, beginning at 8 p.m. EDT.

NBC has not yet made a decision on whether to renew “Blindspot” for Season 5 or to cancel it.
