Whitney Way Thore Pregnant
“My Big Fat Fabulous Life” star Whitney Way Thore teased for months that she might be pregnant after a clip for Season 4 of the TLC reality show debuted. TLC

After weeks of speculation, it’s true: “My Big Fat Fabulous Life” reality star Whitney Way Thore is pregnant with her first child. The following day, further details about the pregnancy were unknown.

At the end of the Season 4 premiere Tuesday, the TLC star took a pregnancy test after she suffered from fatigue and bouts of nausea— and it was positive. When the show was over, Thore took to Instagram to confirm the news.

She shared a picture of three pregnancy tests. “3 Tests. 3 Days. All Positive,” the picture read. It showed three pink tests with two lines, which means pregnant. For the caption she wrote, “So there’s that.”

Hours later, she shared a video update. “Hey, guys. I just want to say thank you for all the congratulations and well wishes and everything that I got tonight,” the 32-year-old said. “It was really nice and I wish that I could answer your questions and talk more about it. But I can’t until next week, because I’m under a contract so I can’t. But anyway, thank you guys and I love you. I’ll see you next week. Bye.”

Thore’s pregnancy was a shock since he has polycystic ovary syndrome, also known as PCOS. The infertility rate is very high for women who have PCOS, according to Advanced Fertility. While it’s not impossible to conceive a child, most women require treatment to become pregnancy because when a woman has PCOS, some rarely ovulate—or release an egg—while some women do not ovulate at all. In Thore’s case, she accidentally became pregnant with her ex-boyfriend Lennie Alehat’s baby.

Skeptical of the pregnancy? Alehate was too. When Thore told her ex-boyfriend about the development, he was shocked. First, he asked to see the pregnancy test and then he asked if the baby was his. The couple broke up last season after an apparent cheating scandal.

To find out what happens on the next on “My Big Fat Fabulous Life,” don’t miss the reality show when it airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST on TLC.
