Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson shared and deleted her photo with her boyfriend, Dralin Carswell, on Instagram due to the backlash she received from the netizens, a report has claimed.

The former "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo" star, 16, made her relationship with Dralin, 20, Instagram official Monday. She called Dralin "bae" in the caption but quickly deleted the post.

According to Page Six, Honey Boo Boo decided to take down the post because she received intense backlash over their age gap. Several netizens made an issue out of their 4-year age difference.

"Honey boo boo is less than 6 months older than me (15) and she has a 20-year-old boyfriend? Doesn't sit right with me," one tweeted.

"16 and 20? Where are her parents? She’ll be knocked up before she graduates," another wrote.

"She's 16, he's 20. F--king disgusting pedophile," a different user added.

A different user acknowledged that a four-year age gap is not a problem if they are of right age or older. However, it is an issue if one is 16 and the other is 20.

Page Six reached out to TLC but its rep didn't make any comment.

Although many were against Honey Boo Boo and Dralin's relationship, several also expressed their support to the couple.

"Adorable! Happiness is the key to life," one commented on Honey Boo Boo and Dralin's photo that was shared on Twitter.

"Good for her. She looks adorable," another added.

Honey Boo Boo confirmed her dating status when she turned 16 years old. She changed the relationship status on her private Facebook account to indicate that she's "in a relationship." At the time, there were already rumors that she's dating a college student.

Honey Boo Boo's family is supportive of her and her boyfriend's relationship. Her older sister and guardian Lauryn "Pumpkin" Shannon-Efird, 21, confirmed her relationship status and even praised her boyfriend, Dralin.

"She does have a little boyfriend who, like, comes over and stuff, like, he comes over for dinners and stuff, he’s very respectful. Everyone approves of him," Lauren told Entertainment Tonight.
