Kate Middleton is often seen in green outfits, and there’s a reason why the duchess prefers this color.

On Wednesday, the Duchess of Cambridge stepped out in a stylish forest green Emilia Wickstead dress for the opening of the Pears Family School. Many noticed that this hue is Middleton’s favorite color as she has been seen in this shade in various events in the past year.

Celebrity stylist Lucas Armitage believes that there’s a reason Middleton prefers green outfits. This shade is reportedly flattering to Middleton’s hair and skin tone, so she makes the most when wearing this color.

“Green is a perfect colour for Kate in terms of complimenting her natural colouring her hair and eye tone, it really enhances her and give her a fresh healthy glow,” Armitage explained to Femail.

“It may seem a bit old fashioned to ‘have your colours done’ but she has proven that in actuality we all have colours that work better for us than others,” she continued.

He also noticed how Middleton wear one color from head to toe. For instance, in January, Prince William’s wife donned a monochrome look by wearing a bottle green Beulah dress with matching suede bag by L.K. Bennett and court shoes all in the same colorway.

“Doing one colour head to toe is a very stylish way to build a look. Pick up any magazine and chances are an editorial fashion story will have a full look built around one colour tone,” Armitage explained this fashion style. “It give a cohesive and well put together vibe but it also allows you to play with texture proportion and silhouette more freely.”

If Middleton loves green, she is never seen wearing orange outfits. According to Daisy Schubert, a style expert, this is because this color doesn’t suit Middleton’s “winter color type.” She added that Middleton would look “dreadful in orange.”

Just like Middleton, Sarah Ferguson loves green. The Duchess of York is particularly fond of emerald green.

Back in March, Ferguson was spotted in emerald green blouse and mini skirt in New York. She also wore a pair of sheer black tights, a leather jacket and suede black trainers.
