"The Hills: New Beginnings" is gearing up to continue production, but even though the cast hasn't fully finished filming Season 2 yet, cast member Jason Wahler already feels that the upcoming season has raised the bar.

"I’ll tell you this much — It was great because we went in full, full steam ahead [before the coronavirus]," Jason told HollywoodLife of the MTV reboot of "The Hills." He added, "I think this season personally is going to be 1,000 times better than last season. It’s just like everybody’s gotten comfortable with one another or the people that you know don’t like each other made it very known and vice versa."

The Season 1 cast of "The Hills: New Beginnings" included familiar faces Brody Jenner, Audrina Patridge, Spencer Pratt, Heidi Montag, Frankie Delgado, Jason Wahler, Stephanie Pratt, Whitney Port, and Justin Bobby. It also spiced things up with new cast members Mischa Barton, Kaitlynn Carter, and Brandon Thomas Lee.

However, with Mischa not returning for Season 2, that leaves the door wide open for another familiar face to swoop right in. That familiar face would be "The Hills" alum Kristin Cavallari.

"I haven’t talked to her in probably a couple years. She has not started filming yet," Jason explained. "We’re supposed to be back on in July."

As for what capacity the Uncommon James founder will appear in, that has yet to be officially stated, but with her recent decision to end her E! reality show "Very Cavallari" amid her divorce from former NFL player Jay Cutler, she might have some extra time on her hands to become a full-time cast member. Though, previously, Kristin told ET Online that she was only scheduled to "make an appearance" on the new season.

"As I start this new chapter in my life, I have decided not to continue with 'Very Cavallari'," Kristin announced on May 19.

"I’ve absolutely loved my time filming and am so grateful to E! Entertainment for making this journey possible. To the fans: I can’t thank you enough for all your support and for keeping up with me all of these years," she added. "I love you guys."
