Meghan Markle’s transition into the royal family hasn’t been an easy one, but some people believe she would have a less stressful experience if she copied Kate Middleton and Queen Elizabeth.

Since Meghan married Prince Harry in May 2018, there have been rumors claiming she is feuding with the Duchess of Cambridge and is considered difficult to work with by the employees at Kensington Palace.

During an appearance on Sky News’ “The Pledge,” panelist Maajid Nawaz suggested Meghan would gain public favor if she stayed quiet. “I think, and I want the best for Meghan, that if she didn’t speak as much, then her popularity would rise.”

Nawaz noted that the method has worked for Queen Elizabeth, “Totally, the Royal Family are unelected and they are relatively privileged and they have a doctrine which is ‘don’t say much at all,” the panelist explained.

“And the Queen sticks to it very well and that’s why she’s popular and I suspect it’s why Prince Charles isn’t as popular because he puts his mouth where it’s not wanted sometimes, right?”

Meanwhile, commentator Carole Malone reflected on how silence has helped Kate gain popularity after receiving negative press while dating Prince William. “Have you forgotten what happened to Kate when she was with William? Have you forgotten the ‘weighty Katy?”

“I’m sorry, she got lots of the stuff. But, what she did was she kept her head down, she kept quiet, and she got on with it,” “But, what she did was she kept her head down, she kept quiet, and she got on with it.” Malone added.

While there are plenty of fans who admire Meghan, it seems others believe she would benefit from following in the footsteps of more experienced royal family members.
