Prince Harry and Meghan Markle moved away from Prince William and Kate Middleton for a reason.

Earlier this year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced their split from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. They left Kensington Palace to live in their new home, Frogmore Cottage in Windsor. They also left their shared charity and created a new one.

One netizen asked on Quora if Prince Harry and Markle moved away from Prince William and Middleton to “maximize their potential.” Some believed that this is possibly the Sussexes’ reason for moving away.

“Prince Harry felt that they needed the separation to be able to branch out. And I agree. He and Duchess Meghan have their own charities that they are faithful to,” Charlotte Dobbs said before adding that she liked the word “maximize” because it fits perfectly.

Ellen Wood, a Republican, said that Prince Harry and Markle left Kensington Palace because they wanted some privacy. Also, Prince William and Prince Harry have different life paths and they are both now moving onto those paths. In addition, she said that it was creepy to live right next to a sibling once both are married and have their own family.

David Byrne, a follower of the royal family, didn’t support the theory. According to him, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex simply moved away because the Queen gifted them Frogmore Cottage.

Prince Harry and Markle were living in a small two-bedroom cottage when they were in Kensington Palace. There were reports suggesting that they would move into a bigger apartment next to Prince William and Middleton. However, the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester occupy the apartment and haven’t moved out, so they need to move to Frogmore Cottage because they needed a bigger space especially since they had a baby on the way.

In related news, Prince Harry and Markle made a number of subtle digs at Prince William and Middleton. The Duchess of Sussex was accused of throwing shade at Middleton when she declined to grace the cover of Vogue magazine because she didn’t like to be “boastful” when Middleton just did it three years ago. However, Carole Malone reacted and said that Markle was just being a “hypocrite” because she did the same and even appeared on a magazine cover before her wedding to Prince Harry.
