Although the Palace issued a statement revealing the necessary split between Prince William and Prince Harry, there are still rumors suggesting the brother’s relationship has fallen apart.

Despite their different paths, one royal commentator believes Princess Diana would have kept her sons together. While reports claim the brothers and their wives are in an ongoing popularity fight, things would be different if their mother was around.

In an article published by the Daily Mail, Amanda Platell revealed Princess Diana would consider the rumored feud between Prince William and Prince Harry unacceptable. “The rivalry seems cheap and unhelpful. If Diana were alive today, she’d have knocked some sense into her sons, especially Harry,” the commenter claimed.

Although Platell suggested Harry was influenced by Meghan’s Hollywood roots, she claimed the Duchess of Sussex’s experience wouldn’t help them in the Royal Family.

“Warring courts in the Royal Household are no help to the monarchy. And if Harry and Megs do go abroad, they’ll find quickly that celebrity royalty, such as Queen Oprah, can never be a substitute for the real thing,” she wrote.

There have been rumors alleging Meghan and Prince Harry will spend time in Africa with their son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. However, the couple’s separation from William and Kate has only fueled rift allegations.

“What a sad parting of the ways for Wills and Harry, who have been through so much together. The fraternal bond forged under the intense media spotlight, and after the death of their mother Diana, seemed so strong and unbreakable,” Platell shared.

“Yet it’s a parting of brothers that happens to so many siblings when they find a new partner. Remember how Wills, Kate, and Harry were always together, always such a happy trio? Inevitably, with Megs’ arrival, it couldn’t last.”

Although there have been rumors suggesting Prince William and Prince Harry’s wives caused a rift between the brothers, it appears the would have eventually drifted apart. While William is expected to become King one day, Harry will most likely never reign, which means he will have fewer responsibilities than his brother going forward.
