Shelley Morrison, known for playing Karen Walker’s (Megan Mullally) maid Rosario Salazar on “Will & Grace”, passed away Sunday at the age of 83. Morrison had played the character during the show’s original run and stuck around as a regular cast member until the end of the original series.

Following the new of the late actress’s death, her co-stars shared their sorrows on social media. Mullally, who shared a lot of screen time with Morrison in the Emmy-winning series, tweeted out to her on-screen co-star. “My heart is heavy. Putting Shelley, her beloved husband Walter & their children in the light. Thank you for your friendship & partnership, shell. You accomplished wonderful things in this world. You will be missed.”

Co-star Sean Hayes also shared some of his thoughts on Instagram regarding Morrison’s sudden passing. “Our beloved Shelley Morrison passed away today. She was absolutely hilarious and had the biggest heart,” he wrote. “She was a part of our Will and Grace family and will be greatly missed. My heart goes out to her entire family.”

Fellow stars Eric McCormack and Debra Messing also had something to say about the wonderful times they shared with Morrison on social media as well. “Shelley was a beautiful soul & a wonderful actor,” McCormack said on Twitter. “Her work as Rosario, season after season, was as nuanced and real as it was hysterical.”

Messing, meanwhile, shared a video of her late co-star on set along with a sweet message to her. “Oh Shelley…what a loss. Our dear Rosario has passed on. Shelly had a career that spanned decades, but she will always be our dear Rosie.”

Initially signed for one episode during the show’s freshman season, her popularity with viewers ended up seeing Morrison join the cast as a regular throughout the original run, until it ended in May 2006. After the show’s revival, she was asked to come back to reprise her role, but co-creator Max Mutchnick said that she had since retired from acting and didn’t want to come back. Her final appearance was during the 2016 election-themed webisode. The actress’s last film role was for the 2012 film “Foodfight!”
