Microsoft recently announced that it is ending the extended support for Windows 7 by January 2020. Windows Virtual Desktop which is now available worldwide virtualizes Windows 7 desktops until January 2023 with its free Extended Security Updates (ESU).

Windows Virtual Desktop Features

The Windows Virtual Desktop supports a multi-session Windows 10 experience aside from being the only service that delivers simplified management functions. It also comes with Windows Server Remote Desktop Services (RDS) desktops and apps as well as the optimization for Office 365 ProPlus.

FSLogix, a program that improves Office on virtual environments is one of the special features that come along the Windows Virtual Desktop made available worldwide.
