Winter’s often the best time to get away for a few days and it’s also the time of the year with some of the best deals out there. If you’re looking to start off the new year on a good note, as well as escape the cold, here are some last minute, well-priced vacations for some optimal family bonding time.

Carnival Inspiration is offering a 4 night cruise that, in February, runs between $189 for an interior room and $759 for a suite. That means the lowest-priced rooms come out to just $49 per night. The cruise departs from the Los Angeles area, and heads toward Mexico, stopping at Catalina Island, California, on the way. If you’re looking to leave sooner, the same ship also sales between Jan. 11 and Jan. 15 starting at $249.

Departing on the other side of the country, Norwegian Cruise Line offers 4 night trips to the Bahamas. The ship departs from Miami, Florida, and stops at the Great Stirrup Cay, Nassau and Freeport in the Bahamas. Tickets start at $249.

Royal Caribbean offers 4-night trips to the Western Caribbean. The ship departs from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and sails to Cozumel, Mexico. Tickets start at $298 a night. That’s $75 a night.

If cruises aren’t quite your thing, there are also other great ideas for Winter vacations. CheapCaribbean.com offers some great deals, including a $619, 5-night stay in the La Romana, Dominican Republic. Or, check out this five night stay in Punta Cana, starting at $499.
