In December 2020, a North Carolina mother was stabbed to death by her boyfriend at her home in front of her three children. The minor kids rushed to a neighbor's home to seek help after the assailant stabbed their mother, identified as Tiara Dzikowski, 34.

The victim was stabbed several times and was declared dead on the scene. At the time, a deputy from the Nash County Sheriff's Office suspected the reason for the stabbing to be "some kind of argument." Police took the victim's boyfriend, identified as Alexander Dzikowski, 33, into custody.
