The Trafalgar Square in central London was rocked by whistling and shouting of Harry Potter fans on Thursday, as it hosted one of the most extortionate film premieres London has ever seen - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2.

To secure a spot for the grand premiere of the final film in the Harry Potter series, fans had been queuing for almost two days. I just wanted to see Emma, I just got her autograph... wow, said one of the fans.

The Trafalgar Square, a resplendent setting that pays homage to Britain's former military glory, turned into a planet of dazzling stars when Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, Rupert Grint, author J.K. Rowling and dozens of other cast members of the film walked the red carpet, which was almost half-a-mile long.

The stars passed through Diagon Alley to Leicester Square, where the movie was shown. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 will hit the cinemas in U.S. and Britain on July 15.
