World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) is facing a plethora of disgruntled stars with many asking for their release in recent months. While the likes of Tye Dillinger and Dustin Rhodes were granted their release, the likes of Luke Harper, Sasha Banks and tag team duo The Revival were flatly denied by WWE chairman Vince McMahon.

Banks’ situation is one that raises multiple questions with the 4-time WWE women’s champion currently on a hiatus from the WWE. Reports suggest that she has requested a release but it was denied by the company, which has asked Banks to take time off before making a return at a later date.

The former women’s champion has not been seen inside the squared circle since WrestleMania 35 in April and she has shown no signs of wanting to make a return. Apart from addressing rumors and denying that she walked away due to WWE taking away the tag team titles from Banks and Bayley, she has only posted cryptic tweets with ominous statements.

However, on Sunday Banks seems to have suggested a reason for her absence from the promotion after she liked a fan's tweet that criticized the product being offered by WWE, according to Wrestling News. The fan claimed that it is now difficult to sit through an entire episode of Monday Night RAW or SmackDown Live.

“With every passing Raw and Smackdown I grow less and less interested in the product. I’m starting to realize that I’m supporting a s---ty company for its past greatness rather than critiquing its current bulls---. I can’t even sit through Raw or Smackdown anymore,” the tweet said.

It remains unclear if and when Banks plans to return to WWE and the recent criticism from the WWE Universe is not a surprise as the promotion has been struggling with its TV ratings in recent months. Even WrestleMania – the company’s flagship show had its critics and they have since been trying various new angles to improve the ratings.
