"Are you ready for this?" That is all fans of "The X-Files" needed to hear to get excited during the finale of "Wayward Pines" Thursday. During one commercial break, the network aired a new 17-second teaser trailer for the upcoming "X-Files" revival mini-series and this time fans got to hear Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) actaully speak to each other!

The new teaser shows footage of cops searching a field in the middle of the night and bodies being dragged through a dark lab, but that is all footage fans have seen in previous teasers. However, the end of the video is what has viewers over the moon. The latest preview is the first new footage of Mulder and Scully exchanging dialogue and, even if it is broad and cryptic, it will certainly be enough to whet fans' appetites for the new episodes.

"Are you ready for this, Scully?" Duchovny's Mulder asks.

"I don't know if there's a choice," answers Anderson's Scully.

Anticipation for the show's return is heating up. It was recently announced that the Lone Gunmen, a group of fan favorite characters made up of actors Dean Haglund, Tom Braidwood and Bruce Harwood, would be joining a growing list of characters returning for the new episodes. Plus, beginning on July 7, Fox will begin airing a single episode of the original "X-Files" every day in a marathon the network is calling "201 Days of the X-Files." It all leads up to the January 2016 premiere of the six-episode continuation of the popular cult series.

What are Mulder and Scully bracing themselves for in the new teaser? Fans will have to wait to find out. "The X-Files" revival mini-series will premiere in Jan. 24, 2016.
