Hallmark Channel's merry holiday season continues with the newest "Countdown to Christmas" holiday premiere, "#Xmas." The film, starring Clare Bowen and Brant Daugherty, premieres Friday night.

The film, part of a double feature on the network, is sure to be a treat for fans, as they may or may not be familiar with one of the film's stars. Bowen did appear in the network's "Sand Dollar Cove," but has otherwise stayed away from their films, and is best known for her role as Scarlett O'Connor on "Nashville."

Daugherty, however, is likely to be more familiar to Hallmark fans. While he is still best known for his role as Noel Kahn on "Pretty Little Liars," he has starred in a few different Hallmark titles in recent years. These include the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries film "Timeless Love," as well as the Hallmark Channel titles "Mingle All the Way," "The Baker's Son" and "A Royal Runaway Romance."

So what can fans expect from this film? Let's find out.

"When Jen (Bowen), an up-and-coming interior designer, discovers that Hygge Home, the premiere design brand, is having a contest to select a resident designer, she is thrilled to get a chance at the opportunity until she realizes the contest is focused on social media," a synopsis reads. "Jen wants to be taken seriously for her talent and lets the quality of her designs speak for themselves in her simple yet tasteful social media posts. She avoids revealing anything personal in her posts because it's all about her work."

However, entering the contest could be good for her career, and with some encouragement, she decides to do so, even if she must create a little bit of a new persona to win.

"With encouragement from her best friend Max (Daugherty), she decides to apply to the contest posing as 'Jen T,' a put-together design influencer with max playing her husband her nephew as their baby," the synopsis continues. "To their surprise, she is selected as a finalist and is torn continuing to play the perfect family or telling the truth."

However, as she continues in the contest, Jen also realizes what might be most important in her life.

"In the process of manufacturing the perfect home, family, and lifestyle to win the contest, Jen develops deeper bonds with her mother, sister and Max, who she finally sees in a romantic light," the synopsis continues. "Along the way she discovers there's nothing like the real thing."

"#Xmas" premieres Friday, Nov. 25 at 6 p.m. EST on Hallmark Channel.
