He has been after them for a while as part of a personal vendetta he still has against his younger brother, and now, Jack will be given the chance to hit Brash and Sassy with a new hard blow on the Thursday, Aug. 17 episode of "The Young and the Restless."

Ever since Billy's (Jason Thompson) affair with Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) was revealed last year, Jack (Peter Bergmann) has had it out for his brother on the CBS soap. Things weren't helped by Phyllis and Billy deciding to give a real relationship a chance a few months ago, and Jack has since doubled his efforts to take things out on Billy by attacking Brash and Sassy, Victoria's (Amelia Heinle), company, which he works for.

Jack has several different plans in the works at the moment to try and find some way to get control of the struggling company, which is trying to get back on track after the debacles it handled thanks to Cane (Daniel Goddard) trying to botch their hockey deal and sleeping with Julier (Laur ALlen) and lying about it. However, the most simple solution to his problem will come to him when he remembers he owns the Jabot building, where Brash and Sassy leases their office space. Realizing they are due to sign a new lease, he will approach them to do so, but both Billy and Victoria will be floored when they realize he is using his power as their landlord to raise their rent.

"Unbelievable," Billy says in a preview clip.

""You B*****d," Victoria snipes.

The two will know that they need to do something in order to pay their new, higher rent, and though she didn't want to necessarily consider partnering up with Ben Hochman (Ben Hermes) by getting a bridge loan through him to keep the company afloat, Victoria may realize she has no other options.

However, what she doesn't know is that Hochman has already been approached by Jack to become partners in the attempt to take over Brash and Sassy as well. The two struck a deal that Ben would help Jack get control through his relationship with Victoria, and to make things even worse, he has also struck up a deal with Cane as well. Cane has offered to let Hochman know all of the secrets about Brash and Sassy, which will make his job easier, and the two will officially shake on it and consider it a deal as well.

"I think we'll make a good team," Cane says in the clip.

"I think we just might," Hochman replies.

However, if Victoria gets wind of Hochman making plans and deals with Cane, it could torpedo that part of Jack's plan, as she won't be signing any contracts with a man who is secretly helping her enemy. However, refusing to take that loan would mean that Victoria may have to go for the one option she has left, one she had been refusing to acknowledge for some time, and has been even more reticent to go to help for ever since he kicked Nick (Joshua Morrow) out of his home. Knowing she likely has no other choice, Victoria may decide to turn to Victor (Eric Braden) for help.

"The Young and the Restless" airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
