The Young and the Restless

She was the one who asked for a divorce because she couldn’t get past his betrayal or the fact that he was having a baby with another woman. However, Lily will find herself stunned when she mistakenly assumes Cane has already moved on from her completely on the Monday, Oct. 23 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

Lily (Christel Khalil) filed for divorce from Cane (Daniel Goddard) on the CBS soap after learning he had not only cheated on her with Juliet (Laur Allen) and lied about it, but had also used their kids’ school funds to pay off a blackmailer who was set to expose the scam he tried to pull on Billy (Jason Thompson) while they both worked at Brash and Sassy. Though she initially only separated from him, she later changed her mind and filed for divorce because she also couldn’t get over the fact that Juliet was pregnant with Cane’s baby, and she could no longer carry a child for her husband.

Still, despite ending the marriage, Lily hasn’t expected that Cane would move on. But when she goes to see him so they can work out a schedule for visits with the kids, she will be shocked when she sees a robe-clad Juliet coming down the stairs of his house.

“It will not take me long to get used to living here,” Juliet says in a preview clip, unaware Lily is there.

“You’re living together?” Lily incredulously asks a silent Cane.

Cane and Juliet will try to explain to Lily that they aren’t romantically involved with one another, and that Juliet’s moving in has only to do with the health complications she’s faced while pregnant. Cane will insist to his estranged wife that he is truly just looking out for his baby, and he doesn’t have any inclinations to be involved with Juliet romantically. However, the fact that they are together will still be a lot for Lily, and she will demand Cane find the time to sign the divorce papers before she storms out.

Now, possibly jealous of how he seems to be moving on, Lily may decide instead to look for a hook-up of her own, even though it could lead to trouble if she does.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EDT on CBS.
