He and everyone else have been wondering what happened to destroy Mariah and Tessa's friendship, Now, with the threat of a copyright lawsuit hanging over the release of Tessa's new song, Noah will seek answers from his sister about what's really going on between them on the Thursday, Jan. 25 episode of "The Young and the Restless."

Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa's (Cait Fairbanks) friendship seemingly ended months ago for no real reason anyone could discern, though the two girls both know it is was because of the kiss they shared. While Mariah realized in that moment that she was in love with Tessa, the other girl backed off, choosing to remain committed to Noah (Robert Adamson). Since then on the CBS soap, Mariah has found herself unable to be around Tessa, because it's been too painful.

Noah (Robert Adamson) learns the truth about Mariah (Camryn Grimes) and Tessa (Cait Fairbanks, not pictured) on the Jan. 25, 2018 episode of "The Young and the Restless." CBS

Their feud was kicked up a notch recently however, after Tessa debuted her new song on The Hilary Hour. After listening to the lyrics, Mariah realized the song was written after Tessa stole her journal and read her entries. She called her out on it on live television, and since then, has threatened Devon (Bryton James) that if he releases the song, she will sue for copyright infringement.

Now, Noah wants to know why his sister is so insistent on not letting the song, which everyone believes will be a hit, to be released, and he will go to her to find out what exactly has happened to not only cause the current dilemma and conflict, but to end the friendship she and Tessa once had.

However, Mariah will be hesitant to let Noah know the truth, because she doesn't want to hurt her brother with the truth that she is also in love with his girlfriend, or that Tessa technically cheated on him with the one kiss. Noah will maintain he needs answers however, to a point where Mariah will be forced to give him her journal, so he can read her entries for himself.

Then, when he realizes that Tessa not only stole the lyrics from Mariah, but that the two also kissed, he will become enraged—and he will storm out on his sister, leaving her in tears. It seems likely that Tessa will also soon find herself facing his wrath as well.

"The Young and the Restless" airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
