She’s been going through a rough patch recently that led to her drinking again, but now, Nikki will be in for the biggest fight of her life after becoming the victim of a hit-and-run on the Tuesday, Dec. 18 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

After drinking at the Jabot holiday party on the CBS soap, Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) was out on the street when she was hit by a car. What no one knows just yet is that her own grandson, Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) was the one behind the wheel and that he hit her when he couldn’t see due to a snowstorm. As a result, he left the scene and never revealed the truth, while his grandmother lay unconscious in the snow.

Now, Nikki will be wheeled into the hospital after she is found, and the fight will be on to try and save her life, as her loved ones gather around her and pray for a miracle.

“Nikki’s family rallies around her,” “Y&R” spoilers reveal.

However, while her children, Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Victoria (Amelia Heinle) will be there, as well as Jack (Peter Bergman), it won’t go without notice that Victor (Eric Braden) is still missing and unaware of what has happened to his wife. The fact that no one can get in touch with him will only add to the family’s stress, especially after Nate informs the Newmans about the surgical procedures he had to perform, as well as the fact that Nikki had a high blood alcohol content level.

Meanwhile, as news continues to travel about the accident, Reed will also be thrown, and panic will ensue as he realizes that he may be responsible for his own grandmother’s demise if the worst case scenario unfolds.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
