She’s been feeling the pressure more and more as the evidence continues to build and it seems like there won’t be an end to the investigation into JT’s death. Now, desperate to do anything she can to keep the truth from getting out, Nikki may make a critical mistake that turns the focus on her on the Thursday, Dec. 13 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is starting to lose her cool over the investigation into JT’s (Thad Luckinbill) murder, especially since Rey (Jordi Villasousa) revealed he believed Victor (Eric Braden) was responsible on the CBS soap. Knowing that’s not the case because she was the one who killed him, Nikki wants to do whatever she can to clear Victor, who she believes is being framed and will do whatever it takes to clear her husband and keep the suspicion off of herself as well.

As a result, she will decide to work some magic on Rey’s wife, Mia (Noemi Gonzalez), who may be able to influence her husband to back off. Knowing Mia is desperate to make some serious contacts and get her business off the ground, Nikki will work towards convincing the woman she can help her—but it will come at a cost.

“Nikki faces temptation,” “Y&R” spoilers tease.

Even if her attempts at bribing Mia work, being around the other woman and trying to manipulate the situation could backfire on her. She has already found herself tempted by her old demons with alcohol as the situation continued to spiral, and now, she could give in to them.

Then, while she won’t admit to Victoria (Amelia Heinle) that she’s drinking again, she could learn how bribing Mia is a bad idea as well---and it could drive her into an even darker place with her lifelong battle with alcohol as a result.

A preview clip for the week’s episodes (see above) shows her being interrogated by Rey once again and saying she wouldn’t say another word without a lawyer present. Whether she’s brought in for the attempt to bribe Mia or because of something related to her drinking, she might be in bigger trouble than before.

“The Young and The Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
