They both know the truth about her murdering JT and want to protect her from whoever is stalking her and trying to goad her into confessing the truth. Now, despite their previous reluctance to ever work together, Nick and Victor may put their differences aside in an effort to do what is best for Nikki on the Tuesday, Jan. 15 episode of “The Young and the Restless.”

Though Victor (Eric Braden) hasn’t confirmed that he knows Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) murdered JT (Thad Luckinbill), his wife knows that he is trying to protect her by letting the cops believe he committed the crime. Nick (Joshua Morrow) does know the truth on the CBS soap after Nikki confessed to him following the memorial service. Since then, he has been committed to not only protecting his mother but trying to make sure that his father didn’t go to prison for a crime he didn’t commit. As a result, he will reach out to the man he’s been at odds with for a long time, and will try to team up to do the best he can for his parents and his family as a whole.

However, though Victor may insist on Nick not helping out in any way because he feels he has a handle on the situation, the gesture to try could foster something new between the estranged family members.

“Victor makes peace,” spoilers for the CBS soap reveal.

If Nick and Victor are able to make peace with one another, then it could mean a new future for the Newman family as a whole—provided they are able to make it through this current dramatic situation. However, if both men continue to keep Nikki’s secret as well, it could also lead to the entire family’s downfall.

“The Young and the Restless” airs weekdays at 12:30 p.m. EST on CBS.
