Move over Liza Miller, it's Kelsey Peters' time to shine.

As fans await the arrival of "Younger" Season 7, sources dropped off some exclusive news to The Hollywood Reporter. The popular TV Land series is in talks for getting a spinoff and with none other than Hilary Duff's character Kelsey Peters taking the lead.

According to the outlet, ViacomCBS, the company that owns the Sutton Foster lead series "Younger," is collaborating with series creator Darren Star for the new project. There is still much to be determined but the potential new series would follow Duff's character as she adventures through life in New York City.

It's also still up in the air in regard to what network the show would be placed on but considering the report that episodes for the untitled project have yet to be filmed, nonetheless scripted, they have time to figure that out.

Another detail still to be determined is how the show will be introduced. At the moment, it is unclear whether the new series would be integrated into "Younger" Season 7.

In regards to "Younger" Season 7, it's been almost a year since viewers have seen the cast -- Foster and Duff, along with Charles Michael Davis, Nico Tortorella, Molly Bernard, Miriam Shor, Debi Mazar, and Peter Hermann -- and the quirky characters they play.

Based on its history, the rom-com series would normally premiere in June but Mazar, who plays Liza's friend Maggie in the show, recently revealed that production hasn't even started yet, making the summer premiere highly unlikely.

"We had received the first two scripts and I was supposed to go for a wardrobe fitting next week. We were supposed to have the first group table read on March 24 or something like that and then March 25 was a big photo shoot for the cast photo and then March 30 was the first day of production," she shared.

However, the coronavirus pandemic put a halt on those plans.

"We never even got to the fittings. The wardrobe people were ready at the studio, pulling stuff, getting ready. The sets were being built, my apartment was being put back together, and then it just all shut down," Mazar added.

The actress said she is hopeful that "Younger" will start production on Season 7 in August or September.
