The “Baywatch” star concluded by revealing that he is back home for spending the holidays with his closed ones and thanked everyone who was there for him while he was not keeping up well.

Efron’s comments come after The Sunday Telegraph reported that he was taken to a hospital after contracting a bacterial infection. The media outlet also stated that the “Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile” star was immediately moved out from Papua New Guinea and transported to a medical center in Spring Hill, Australia.

The report also suggested that the esteemed actor was allowed to take a flight to the U.S. on Christmas eve.

Meanwhile, a doctor named Glenn McKay from the Medical Rescue Group told the publication that he won’t be able to discuss any “confidential information” about the patient, but admitted that his group did “retrieve” a U.S. citizen from PNG to Brisbane recently.

The movie is scheduled to hit the screens on May 15, 2020.
