Zayn Malik is giving fans an update after being away from Instagram for more than a month.

The former One Direction singer, 29, returned to Instagram Friday with a new selfie — his first photo on the social media app since Dec. 10, 2021.

In the picture, Malik looks off-camera while rocking glasses, a black leather jacket and a full beard. The singer did not add a caption to the snap.

Malik's photo has since gone viral, receiving more than 6 million likes and thousands of comments on Instagram.

"Love the new look," one follower commented.

"Look at him, the definition of beauty," another fan wrote.

Prior to the new selfie, Malik's last post on Instagram was a black-and-white photo of him showing off Drophead, his frames collaboration with eyewear line Arnette.

Malik has been laying low since his alleged dispute with Yolanda Hadid, the mother of his ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid, made headlines last year.

The singer pleaded no contest in October last year to multiple charges of harassment against Gigi and Yolanda following a September 2021 altercation at their Pennsylvania home, People reported, citing court documents.

Malik faced harassment charges after he allegedly "grabbed [Yolanda] and shoved her into a dresser, causing mental anguish and physical pain" during an argument on Sept. 29, 2021, according to the documents.

The pop star was also accused of cursing at the "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" alum and telling her to "stay away from [his] f—ing daughter."

Malik said in a statement obtained by TMZ that he "adamantly denies" hitting Yolanda and refrained from commenting further for the sake of his daughter Khai, whom he shares with Gigi.

The singer also shared on Twitter a statement addressing the issue, saying that he wanted to "create a safe and private space for my daughter to grow up in. A place where private family matters aren't thrown on the world stage for all to poke and pick apart."

Malik said he pleaded no contest "in an effort to protect that space" for Khai, sharing that the incident began with "an argument I had with a family member of my partner's who entered our home while my partner was away several weeks ago."

Multiple outlets later reported that Malik and Gigi called it quits.

An unnamed friend of Malik claimed to People that the two stars had a "super toxic" relationship, while a family friend of Gigi's said it was "hard" for the model to live with him at times.

"They are both good parents though. They co-parent," the family friend continued.
