Although it may seem like the runways were just cleared of the Spring 2012 collections, the Pre-Fall 2012 collections are already appearing (which means Fall 2012 Fashion Week is not as far away as some may think).

Some of the Pre-Fall 2012 collections released include DKNY, Pringle of Scotland, St. John, Elie Tahari and Rachel Roy.

The Pringle of Scotland collection utilized color blocking, geometric lines and chunky knits to create a collection that is urban-tailored. There is also a couple splashes of zany orange and white pattern, which makes for a truly jaw-dropping ensemble of matching jacket and pants.

Michael Kors' Pre-Fall 2012 collection is a nod to the American West. Ann Bonfoey Taylor, a skiwear designer and Colorado aristocrat was the subject of a recent exhibition at the Phoenix Art Museum, and acted as Kors' muse for pre-fall, reports Style.com. Pony hair, plaid and mighty proper hem-lengths can be seen throughout the collection.

Stunning as ever, Rachel Roy's collection is a medley of girlie and edgy styles that blend together to make a sophisticated bohemian line. Her inspiration, according to Style.com, was Art Deco-era icon Tamara de Lempicka. Strong, badass women doing what they loved in a time when that was difficult, Roy said. It's my favorite era-the hair got shorter, clothes got looser, and people embraced a more masculine edge.

In a palette of soft gray, cream, green and black, St. John's Pre-Fall 2012 collection is an assortment of streamlined chic pieces. The focal point of this collection seems to be the jacket, which appears paired with cigarette pants and draped over dresses.
