“Empire” may be adding yet another role to the crowded roster of actors. And it seems like the lucky Hakeem Lyon (Bryshere Y. Grey) is next in line to enjoy a little more affection in Season 2. He might need the love should his father Lucious (Terrence Howard) ever find out about Hakeem’s role in his arrest.

E! Online has the spoiler scoop about a new love interest for the youngest Lyon child. According to the outlet, Hakeem will attempt to woo an “aspiring singer” named Laura, but she won’t be won over by his “romantic intentions.” It sounds like he may hit another uninterested wall as he did with Tiana Brown (Serayah) in Season 1. Perhaps this could also mean the young Lyon will begin to move past his feelings for fashion designer Camilla Marks (Naomi Campbell). Lucious sent Camilla away for attempting to manipulate his son last season.

Hakeem isn’t the only Empire employee to enjoy a little pick-me-up crush. With the announcement of Adam Rodriguez to the “Empire” Season 2 cast, it was confirmed that the actor would play Cookie Lyon’s (Taraji P. Henson) next love interest after her fling with Lucious’ head of security, Malcolm DeVeaux (Derek Luke). Fans can almost already anticipate the drama ahead.

The aforementioned singer Laura has yet to be announced, but she’ll be one of many new faces coming to Fox when “Empire” returns. While some guest stars like Chris Rock have already filmed their scenes, others like Marisa Tomei and Kelly Rowland were only recently just announced. More guest stars could be just around the corner.

“Empire” Season 2 premires Sept. 23 at 9 p.m. EDT on Fox.
