Osama bin Laden has been killed in a mansion outside the Pakistani capital Islamabad and his body has been recovered by U.S. authorities, U.S. officials said on Sunday.

Obama announced the news to the nation in the White House, almost 10 years after the Sept. 11 attacks took place. although it is still unclear who was responsible for the attacks, as there are many open questions. And Osama Bin Laden was never formally charged, with the FBI even saying that there is no hard evidence to even construct a connection.
