Pokémon Go Thanksgiving event is taking place from Nov. 24-Nov. 27 and Niantic Labs is offering many bonuses for gamers.

The company announced Monday it would offer double XP and double Stardust for the duration of the event. But there are other bonuses also available during the event. Players who toss a Lucky Egg during the event will get four times XP from events and activities, the company confirmed to Slashgear — more XP than ever offered in the game’s five-month history.

The event will mark the first appearance of the Ditto — one of the last Pokémon from the 150 monsters from the original Pokémon video game. Players will have a chance to find Ditto by seeking out the Pokémon listed below and capturing them in the usual manner:

  • Doduo
  • Ekans
  • Mankey
  • Magikarp
  • Metapod
  • Nidoran
  • Paras
  • Pidgey
  • Rattata
  • Spearow
  • Snorlax
  • Venonat
  • Zubat

Once the listed Pokémon are caught, they would reveal whether they were Ditto with a transformation animation. Once a Pokémon transforms into Ditto, it will remain in that form forever. Ditto will have its own transformation during gym battles — it will automatically transform into the first Pokémon it encounters and then stay in that form forever.

The event update also brings along a new tracking system for U.S. players. Nearby Pokéstops will be shown on the in-game map and if a Pokémon is tapped at a Pokéstop, the stop will have a special marker on it that will stay on the map in normal view till the Pokémon expires.

Niantic has been rolling out holiday-themed updates recently, including a Halloween update last month.
