Pokémon Go Becomes Highest Grossing App On iTunes, Following Halloween Update

Pokémon Go has once again become the highest grossing app on iTunes, even while the free app stands at number 51 in the "Free" chart. Before its resurgence, the app had fallen to the tenth position in the top grossing app chart, Nintendoeverything reported.

The app's ranking has improved not just on iOS devices, but even for Android devices, and it holds the second position on the Play Store. On Google's free games chart, it is now th seventh ranked download. A recent report from App Annie said the app made $600 million in its first 90 days.

Pokémon Go's Halloween update has definitely made the app popular by including new features such as increased ghosts and candy in the game.

It remains to be seen how the app will perform once the holiday fever dies down.
