A 10-year-old boy was arrested for strangling his grandmother to death in China.

The video shared online shows the child holding the elderly woman in a headlock chokehold for nearly two minutes until the grandmother becomes motionless.

Police arrested the boy and his friends in a town in Zhaodong City, Heilongjiang, following the woman's death, MS News reported Wednesday.

It was reported that the boy was egged on by his friends to take his grandmother on before the incident.

The now-viral clip captured the grandmother hitting the boy before he punched her in her chest and got his arms around her.

Pulling her down to the ground, the boy held his grandmother in a chokehold while someone behind the camera was heard laughing. The voice also reportedly urged the boy to get up.

As the physical tussle continues, the grandmother tried to escape the boy's hold by using a slipper and striking the child. However, the boy managed to keep a firm grip on the woman.

"You always hit me, say I'm unreasonable, hit me, who's the unreasonable one now?" the boy reportedly shouted in the video.

The boy choked the woman even after she completely stopped moving, according to NextShark. He kept her in his grip until the person behind the camera started insisting to let go.

"Get up, you crushed grandma to death, don't press it," said the person holding the camera, according to the outlet. "She won't hit you anymore, let go quickly."

Footage shared on social media shows a middle-aged woman, carrying a child on her back, entering the frame and hitting the boy as he was on the ground next to the grandmother's body.

The woman was filmed striking the boy repeatedly. "Your grandma is dead," she was quoted saying.

The boy wailed and was heard pleading for the woman to wake up." Grandma get up," he said.

Police arrested the boy as well as three of his friends in connection with the grandmother's death.

Local reports said the 10-year-old child was being taken care of by his grandmother since his parents are employed outside the country.
