Two employees were injured in a shooting that took place at a Georgia establishment Monday, authorities said.

The incident occurred at Aaron's Rent-to-Own furniture store located at 222 Commerce Avenue in LaGrange on Monday just before 5:45 p.m. Upon reaching the scene, responding officers from the LaGrange police department (LPD) learned two employees, identified as Darius Bailey and Keith Williams, were shot by two suspects.

The two victims were working at the store when the shooting took place. Both the victims received treatment on the scene until AMR (American Medical Response) and the LaGrange Fire Department arrived, WSB-TV reported. Shortly after, fire personnel and EMS transported them to separate medical facilities for further treatment.

LPD Detective John Slonaker said one of the victims suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder, while the other was hit in the inner thigh right below their groin, according to LaGrange Daily. Their current condition hasn't been revealed by the authorities.

After interviewing the witnesses, LaGrange police identified the two suspects as Taquavious Smith, 20, and Zaniyyah Muhammad, 19.

It was found the shooting took place over an alleged dispute that occurred between the victims and suspects. Details regarding what caused the dispute weren't clear.

After the shooting, both Smith and Muhammad left the scene in a black car. The police located Muhammad at her residence a short time later and took her into custody.

However, Smith remains at large and is believed to be armed, the officials added.

Slonaker said detectives were able to confirm the incident was not a robbery. Furthermore, the shooting suspects were not employees at the store.

Meanwhile, warrants have been issued for both suspects on two counts of Aggravated Assault. LaGrange police are actively pursuing the leads from the shooting as an active investigation is underway. People with any information regarding the suspect or the case have been asked to contact the LaGrange Police Department.

In an unrelated incident, four people were killed, and nine others were injured in a shooting that took place at a bank in downtown Louisville, Kentucky, city officials said Monday. The shooter, identified as former bank employee Paul Humphrey, was shot dead at the scene. He was armed with an "AR-15-style" semi automatic rifle.
