Following reports that 50 Cent left Chris Brown’s “Party” tour over money issues, the rapper took to social media to address his relationship with the “Privacy” singer.

On Friday, the rapper used Instagram to explain why he dropped out of the tour and clarified his relationship with Brown. “I would never say my friends can’t afford me. This run wasn’t handled correctly, I’m still on set filming ‘Den of Thieves,’” the rapper wrote.

In his caption, 50 Cent was referring to an article published by TMZ that said he pulled out as a guest performer on Brown’s “Party” tour because the promoters didn’t want to pay him the amount of money he requested.

The media outlet alleged that after agreeing to a set amount of money for his performance on the tour, the rapper walked away from the production when it came time to officially sign on. 50 Cent allegedly wanted “hundreds of thousands of dollars” more than what was discussed. When his and Brown’s teams couldn’t come to an agreement, the rapper opted to ditch the tour.

Many fans were allegedly upset because 50 Cent appeared in the promotional material. Some fans claimed they only bought tickets because the thought the rapper would be performing.

Addressing the rumors that he and Brown are not on good terms is mature of 50 Cent. The rapper is known to get into petty social media arguments with celebrities ranging from Taraji P. Henson to Diddy and troll them mercilessly.

Although he will be missing the “Party” tour, it seems like the rapper is more concerned about making sure his friendship with the singer remains intact.
