Who better to play "Fifty Shades of Grey's" kinky hunk than a porn star? According to novelist/screenwriter Bret Easton Ellis, porn star James Deen (real name Bryan Matthew Sevilla) is officially in the running to play Christian Grey.

It's actually not that far of a stretch for a porn star to play the sexual deviant from "Fifty Shades," and James Deen is more than thrilled to be considered for the role.

He recently tweeted:

"Deenagers unite!!!! RT @prefixmag Would you watch 'Fifty Shades of Grey' if the lead role was a porn star?"

Deen seems to really want the part of Grey, posting side-by-sides of the Christian Grey composite next to his own mug.

Ellis said even "Fifty Shades" author E.L. James has agreed on Deen as a potential candidate.

"Just got inside information that James Deen is actually in the running to play Christian in 'Fifty Shades of Grey' with E.L. James support," Ellis tweeted on Saturday.

Just as much speculation has arisen over who will play Anastasia Steele in the movie, but Ellis had some disappointing news for fans who were expected high-profile actors to appear in the movie. According to Ellis, an unknown actress will be playing Grey's innocuous lover Ana since the movie is a low budget, $15 million flick.

"'Fifty Shades of Grey' will be budgeted at 12-15 million and James Deen is on the list of actors to play Christian Grey according to source," Ellis tweeted.

He added, "Fifty Shades of Grey movie will DEFINITELY be written by a woman and the budget will be below 15 million. Ana will be played by an unknown."

Ellis got himself into "trouble" when he tweeted that fan favorite Matt Bomer could never play the role of Christian Grey because he is gay.

The writer is reportedly friends with Deen and worked with him drama "The Canyons," a film written by Ellis and acted by Deen alongside Lindsay Lohan.

If Deen were to get the role of Christian Grey, he would be the first male porn star to cross over to becoming a Hollywood actor.

However, don't get too excited thinking the role of Grey has finally been cast; E.L. James' husband recently said in an interview that he "thought" Ryan Gosling had the role of Grey.

Who do you think would be better to play Christian, James Deen or Ryan Gosling?
