  • Aaron Rodgers thanked Shailene Woodley for letting him "be a part of" her life amid reports that they called it quits
  • The Green Bay Packers quarterback praised the actress for her "incredible kindness" and "unconditional love"
  • Rodgers shared a snap of himself cuddled up to Woodley

Aaron Rodgers appeared to hint that he and Shailene Woodley are still together after giving the actress a sweet shoutout on social media.

After multiple outlets reported that they called off their engagement and the "Divergent" star was recently spotted without her engagement ring, the Green Bay Packers quarterback took to Instagram Monday to express his appreciation for his friends and loved ones, including Woodley.

The 38-year-old NFL star began the post with a quote that read: "Gratitude is the wine of the soul. Go on. Get drunk."

Rodgers then shared photos of those closest to him, starting with a snap of himself cuddled up to Woodley, 30.

"Here's some... #MondayNightGratitude for some of the incredibly special people in my life, with some pictures from the last beautiful year," Rodgers wrote. "@shailenewoodley, thanks for letting me chase after you the first couple months after we met, and finally letting me catch up to you and be a part of your life."

"Thanks for always having my back, for the incredible kindness you show me and everyone you meet, and for showing me what unconditional love looks like," he added of the actress. "I love you and am grateful for you."

Rodgers' post comes a week after multiple outlets reported that he and Woodley have parted ways, one year after they announced their engagement.

Last week, an unnamed source close to Rodgers told People that the pair's split was "amicable" and that they broke up because "it just wasn't working."

"They're very different people with busy careers and there were obstacles that they couldn't surmount. They will remain friendly; there's no bad blood and no drama. It just didn't work out for them," the insider added.

Another anonymous insider close to Woodley and Rodgers told the outlet, "They fell hard and fast, but it was a mismatch from the start."

Following the reports, Woodley was spotted without her engagement ring when she went shopping in Malibu, California, Thursday. However, neither the actress nor Rodgers has publicly addressed the breakup reports.

Woodley and Rodgers started dating in 2020 during the pandemic. The athlete announced their engagement in his acceptance speech when he was named the league's MVP during the NFL Honors broadcast in February 2021.

Later that month, Woodley confirmed their engagement during an appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," saying: "Yes, we are engaged. But for us, it's not new news, you know, so it's kind of funny. Everyone right now is freaking out over it and we're like, 'Yeah, we've been engaged for a while.'"

In November last year, Rodgers received backlash concerning his vaccination status after it was revealed that he tested positive for COVID-19.

The NFL star said just three months earlier that he was "immunized" when he was asked about whether or not he had received the COVID-19 vaccine. However, during an appearance on the "Pat McAfee Show" on Nov. 5, 2021, Rodgers confirmed that he was unvaccinated.

That same month, Woodley slammed "disparaging" claims about her then-fiancé.
