Actress Shailene Woodley and NFL player Aaron Rodgers have reportedly split up just one year after news of their engagement broke.

A source told Us Weekly the couple hasn’t “been spending any time together” over the recent weeks. Woodley has reportedly been “super busy with work” while Rodgers has remained “focused” on his football career.

“Everything was so different during lockdown, and they had been living in their bubble. Friends of Shailene didn’t believe Aaron is the best match for her,” a source said.

Although Woodley and Rodgers are over, those close to the pair told People the relationship didn’t end on bitter terms. “It was an amicable split; it just wasn’t working,” an insider told the outlet.

“They’re very different people with busy careers, and there were obstacles that they couldn’t surmount. They will remain friendly; there’s no bad blood and no drama. It just didn’t work out for them.”

Meanwhile, sources told TMZ that Rodgers decided to focus on his football career after getting “cold feet,” which left Woodley feeling “neglected” in the relationship.

Although some of the sources claimed the breakup was caused by the couple’s schedules, Rodgers previously told Haute Living they were happy to focus on their separate careers.

“It’s a busy work time for her, so [my decision] probably came at a good time for both of us to be able to focus on our work. I think it’s going to be a good thing,” he told the magazine in a 2021 interview.

“I mean, her work was shut down for an entire year, and she's booked a number of projects. She enjoys working and her own routine, which I obviously enjoy, too.”

Woodley and Rodgers reportedly began dating shortly after he split with Danica Patrick in July 2020 and confirmed their engagement in February of the following year.
