Conchata Ferrell's family, fans and friends are mourning her passing. Many of them paid tribute to her on Twitter, including Adam Sandler and Charlie Sheen.

Ferrell passed away on Monday due to complications following a cardiac arrest, KABC entertainment reporter George Pennacchio announced on Twitter. Ferrell was 77 years old. She was best known for her role as Berta on "Two and a Half Men" and as the frontier housekeeper in "Heartland."

"RIP. Great lady. Will be missed terribly. So sorry to her family," Sandler tweeted.

Ferrell's "Two and a Half Men" co-star Sheen also spoke fondly of her. He called her a "genuine friend" and an "absolute sweetheart." He also commended the late actress for her portrayal of Berta on their show.

"An absolute sweetheart, a consummate pro, a genuine friend, a shocking and painful loss," Sheen wrote.

"Berta, your housekeeping was a tad suspect, your 'people' keeping was perfect," he added.

Aside from the two celebrities, those who have followed Ferrell’s career had nothing but praises for her. Many of them remembered her for her roles in “Mystic Pizza” and “Hot L Baltimore.”

"This lady had it all, comedic timing, the best one liners, she just helped to make ‘Two and a Half Men,’ one of the best comedies of our time. Thank you Conchata..RIP, and thanks for all the laughs," one fan wrote.

"Sorry to hear that. She had a long career. I remember seeing her in ‘Hot L Baltimore’ and in so many other programs. Rest well," another fan wrote.

"It was her iconic roll in ‘Mystic Pizza’ that did it for me. What a breakout movie for Julia Roberts and the two of them on screen had great connection and chemistry. Thanks for all the laughs! #RIP," Luca Squerciati commented on one report about the actress’ passing.

Ferrell was a three-time Emmy nominee. She was first nominated in 1992 for her recurring role as attorney Susan Bloom on NBC's "L.A. Law." She was nominated again in 2005 and 2007 for her role on "Two and a Half Men" where she appeared in 212 episodes of the series, The Hollywood Reporter said.
