Singer R. Kelly has been accused of creating a cult-like environment with several young girls under the guise of helping their musical careers. BuzzFeed News first published the explosive allegations in July. Another accuser came forward to BuzzFeed News in August, claiming to break a nondisclosure agreement, and Monday went into more details of her alleged abusive relationship with the R&B singer.

Jerhonda Pace, 24, claimed that Kelly, 50, and she began a sexual relationship when she was 16 and that the singer physically and mentally abused her when she would not follow his “rules.” Pace said that when she would be at Kelly’s mansion in Olympia Fields, Illinois, she had to wear baggy clothes, turn her cell phone over to the singer, and do whatever else Kelly asked of her or she would be punished.

Pace first met Kelly when as a young fan she showed up to his 2008 child pornography trial in Chicago. Kelly was acquitted. Pace said she adored the singer’s music and got the singer’s autograph at the trial. She was later contacted by an associate of Kelly’s over Myspace.

On the VH1 show “The Real” Monday, Pace went into more detail about her interactions with Kelly, whom she claimed took her virginity. Pace said a woman instructed her on what the singer enjoyed sexually.

“The trainer, it’s a woman — she trains you to please him sexually ... she told me how to please him, and she also taught me what I liked,” said Pace. “I got invited to his tour bus. I went out to his tour bus and you have him naked and you have her naked, and I’m looking like, ‘OK, what is this?’ Because [Kelly] is the one who took my virginity.”

Pace also likened the singer to cult leader Charles Manson.

“I didn’t have anybody to speak up on my behalf when I was going through what I was going through with him. He’s brainwashed [girls] really bad, and it kind of reminds me of Charles Manson,” said Pace.

Pace alleged that Kelly would slap her in the face and keep her locked in a room for days. Pace said that she used a lie to escape.

“I told him my uncle lived a few doors down and I wanted to go to my uncle’s house to grab some shoes,” Pace said. “And he was like, ‘OK, well when you get there, you get the shoes and you come right back.’ And at that moment, when I knew I got out the house, I was like, ‘I’m not going back. I refuse.’ I wasn’t going back.”

Kelly denies these charges, his representatives put out a statement after the original piece with Pace in BuzzFeed News.

“The allegations against Mr. Kelly are false, and are being made by individuals known to be dishonest. It is clear these continuing stories are the result of the effort of those with personal agendas who are working in concert to interfere with and damage his career. Mr. Kelly again denies any and all wrong doing and is taking appropriate legal action to protect himself from ongoing defamation,” read that statement.

Several other women or their parents have come forward accusing Kelly of keeping them at his properties, cutting off contact with rest of the world.
