Disagreements, drama and fierce competitiveness will be what fans can expect when CBS debuts Season 29 of “The Amazing Race,” which features strangers pairing up at the starting line in a schoolyard pick.

On Thursday, the network premieres the newest season of the show, after delaying it and keeping it off of the fall premiere schedule. For the first time in the show’s history, the teams racing for $1 million will all have no pre-existing relationships, and they will know nothing about one another beyond their first impressions as they begin the journey together. They will have to figure out how to not only work together on the series of tasks and challenges the show throws in their paths, but they will also need to find effective ways of communicating with one another as well.
