Amber Heard and Johnny Depp’s divorce has been full of twists and turns. On Tuesday — following the emergence of new evidence seemingly supporting the “Magic Mike XXL” star’s claims that their relationship was volatile — the estranged husband and wife appeared to have reached an agreement.

Heard and Depp reportedly filed paperwork on Tuesday in which the Texas native withdrew her previous request for a restraining order against her soon-to-be ex-husband. The order of protection stemmed from an incident the actress previously claimed took place on May 21, resulting in her being physically harmed by Depp, 53. According to TMZ, Heard dismissed the case with prejudice and will not be able to file it again.

In addition to coming to an agreement in their domestic violence case, Heard, 30, and Depp are said to have completed their divorce filing. The “Alice: Through the Looking Glass” actor reportedly agreed to pay his wife $7 million. His payment includes legal fees associated with the divorce and other filings. TMZ reports that Heard and Depp were initially discussing an $8 million payout, but agreed on slightly less. It remains unclear why the first offer was taken off the table. The settlement was reportedly reached by Depp and Heard’s lawyers, who met to discuss the terms on Saturday while Amber was giving her deposition. The pair have released the following statement regarding their divorce:

“Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love. Neither party has made false accusations for financial gain,” Heard and Depp said. “There was never any intent of physical or emotional harm. Amber wishes the best for Johnny in the future. Amber will be donating financial proceeds from the divorce to a charity. There will be no further public statements about this matter.”

News of their settlement comes just one day after new evidence surfaced in the case. Photos, obtained by TMZ, showed Depp’s bloodied finger after he allegedly severed the tip in a fit of rage. The incident occurred in March 2015 while Depp and Heard were staying in an Australian villa. The Kentucky-born actor is said to have accused his wife of being unfaithful with Billy Bob Thornton while working with him on a film. After cutting off his fingertip, Depp reportedly dipped his bloody finger in a can of dark blue paint, sprawling a hateful message to Heard on a mirror. In it he referenced Thornton and called his wife “Easy Amber.”

Days prior leaked video surfaced showing yet another explosive incident involving Depp. On Aug. 12, a clip hit the web of Depp shouting at his wife while sipping red wine. He is shown slamming cabinet doors and carrying on about being “crazy” before allegedly throwing the wine glass and bottle. Heard questions her husband’s behavior, reminding him that “nothing happened this morning.”

Depp’s team accused Heard of leaking the video intentionally. She responded, telling E! Online that it was never her intention for the video to become public. Additionally, Heard claimed she was doing everything in her power to get the video offline.
