The long-awaited premiere of “American Horror Story: Apocalypse” is just hours away, which means fans will finally get the “Coven” and “Murder House” crossover they have been waiting for. Series creator Ryan Murphy has been cautious about sharing too many details ahead of the FX airdate. Now, viewers should brace themselves to watch how life unfolds after the world comes to an end.

Before tuning into the highly anticipated series, take some time to become familiar with the names and faces that will be appearing on Season 8 of the anthology series.

Sarah Paulson

The actress will once again return to the “AHS” franchise. This time around, she will be reprising some of her old roles along with taking on a new one. Paulson’s alter egos making an appearance this season will include the “Murder House” medium, Billie Dean Howard, and the Supreme witch from “American Horror Story: Coven,” Cordelia Foxx. The actress will also portray a new character on “Apocalypse” named Wilhelmina Venable.

Stevie Nicks

The singer will reprise her role from “Coven,” portraying a twisted version of herself.

Evan Peters

The “AHS” vet will wear many hats during Season 8. Not only will he reprise his role as Tate Langdon from Season 1, but he will also take on a new character. Peters will play a hairdresser named Mr. Gallant.

Connie Britton

The star will make her “AHS: Apocalypse” debut in episode 6, according to TVLine. Britton is expected to reprise her role as Vivien Harmon from Season 1 of the series.

Taissa Farmiga

The actress is expected to bring Violet, Vivien and Ben Harmon’s teenage daughter from “Murder House,” back to life. Farmiga will also portray Zoe Benson, a young witch from “American Horror Story: Coven,” who was last seen as one of the council members appointed to help Cordelia run Miss Robichaux’s Academy for Exceptional Young Ladies.

Dylan McDermott

The actor will be seen alongside Britton and Farmiga, reprising his role as husband and father Ben Harmon from Season 1.

Emma Roberts

The star is set to reclaim her role as the infamous Madison Montgomery from “AHS: Coven.” The last time viewers saw Madison, she was strangled by Kyle (Evan Peters) after she refused to save Zoe’s life during the Seven Wonders.

Lily Rabe

The actress appears to be reprising her role as Misty Day from “Coven.” Misty was last seen competing for the title of Supreme in the Seven Wonders but failed to finish after she got stuck in her own personal hell. The aspiring coven leader was forced to relive a science class dedicated to dissecting a frog.

Jessica Lange

For the first time since 2015, the actress will return to the “American Horror Story” franchise to reprise the role of her “Murder House” character, Constance Langdon. Lange was last since in the “AHS: Freak Show” finale, portraying ringleader Elsa Mars.

Frances Conroy

The actress has appeared in several seasons of the anthology series, including “Murder House” as Moira O’Hara and in “Coven” as Myrtle Snow. Although the star’s role in “Apocalypse” hasn’t been officially disclosed, Roberts previously shared an Instagram photo teasing a “Coven” reunion with several of her co-stars, including Conroy and Rabe.

Gabourey Sidibe

Although the actress’ “Coven” character, Queenie, died during “AHS: Hotel,” Sidibe is expected to reprise her role as one of the witches from Cordelia’s academy.

There will also be several other new characters appearing in Season 8 portrayed by notable “American Horror Story” alumni:

-Billie Lourd as Mallory

- Kathy Bates as Ms. Miriam Meade

- Leslie Grossman as Coco St. Pierre Vanderbilt

- Adina Porter as Dinah Stevens

- Cheyenne Jackson and Billy Eichner are expected to appear in “Apocalypse” in unknown roles.

New Additions To The cast

- Cody Fern will play a grown-up version of Michael Langdon from “Murder House.” Last viewers saw of Michael, who is Vivien and Tate’s son, he was 3 years old and murdered his babysitter while his grandmother, Constance, was away.

- Joan Collins will portray the role of Mr. Gallant’s grandmother, Evie Gallant.

- Ashley Santos as Emily

- Kyle Ailen as Timothy Campbell

- Billy Porter will appear in an undisclosed role.
