The Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OTA update started rolling out to BlackBerry Priv units in the U.S. and Canada in May. But T-Mobile wasn’t updating its devices. However, now, a new report says T-Mobile has begun pushing the firmware bundle finally to the slider QWERTY keyboard clad Priv.

According to GSM Arena, the Marshmallow update is tied to the build number AAE153. As always, the update is being sent in phases, and hence, all the Priv users under T-Mobile network will be receiving the software within a couple of days. The update can also be manually checked by navigating to the Settings menu.

Last week, an anonymous AT&T executive reportedly noted that Android-powered BlackBerry Priv is struggling in the U.S. The executive apparently said “There isn't much volume growth in the premium segment, where Apple and Samsung dominate.” To top it off, T-Mobile removed the handset from the list of available devices in its official website.

The failure of Priv has been predominantly attributed to the steep price tag across the globe. This phone debuted at $699 in the U.S. Even though carriers are still selling the handset at $600+ price range, eBay has cut the price significantly.

As of today, the factory unlocked BlackBerry Priv is retailing at $399.99 on eBay. This device is tied to the model number STV100-1 and it works under AT&T network. So far, 1,550 units of this discounted model have been sold. The seller Quality Cellz has a good 99.1 percent positive rating on eBay.

Apart from the standard connectivity options, the Priv also supports 4G LTE. And eBay is offering free shipping service in the U.S. with the purchase of this discounted handset.
