The T-Mobile HTC One M9 is now updating to Android 7.0 Nougat, Android Police reported Tuesday. The update comes over three months after the U.S. unlocked HTC One M9 received the latest Google software. So far, T-Mobile is the only U.S. carrier to update its HTC One M9 model; however, pundits expect other model updates will soon follow.

The update will hit handsets wirelessly. The HTC One M9 is receiving the software version 4.27.531.6, which will take the handset from Android 6.0 Marshmallow to Android 7.0 Nougat. The software is 1.09GB and requires a Wi-Fi connection and fully charged battery to download and install.

The HTC One M9 is receiving Google’s February security patch alongside the Android 7.0 Nougat, in addition to system performance enhancements provided by T-Mobile.

So far few HTC devices have received Android Nougat software. The U.S. unlocked HTC 10 also updated in December 2016. The system has also been available for many HTC 10 international models. However, U.S. updates have been heavily delayed. HTC halted the Android Nougat rollout for the HTC One Android Nougat in January. The HTC U Ultra and Sprint-exclusive HTC Bolt runs Android 7.0 Nougat natively.

Meanwhile, Google has sent out the Android 7.1.2 beta two software to users. The official version is expected to roll out to the public April 3. Google has also released its first Android O developer preview ahead of Google I/O. The upcoming software is expected to release in the third quarter.
